Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Civil Engineer for its College Station, TX facility to design, build, and activate infrastructure for heavy civil and utility projects. You will work with elite engineers across disciplines on land development and underground utility systems, driving projects from planning to completion.

You will coordinate with project managers, vendors, and internal customers, perform grading and drainage calculations, and support permitting efforts to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting.
• 4+ years of professional experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting (preferred).
• EIT or Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).
• Experience with civil design software packages: StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, PCSWMM.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and related earthwork/grading tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for land development projects.
• Perform calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater facilities, water distribution, and utilities.
• Coordinate to obtain permits from local, state, and federal agencies related to land development and utilities.
• Manage civil aspects of construction in the field: QC, conflict resolution, contractor coordination.
• Interact with contractors, vendors, and internal clients to define requirements, schedules, and estimates.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time.
