Job summary

SpaceX in McGregor, Texas, seeks a Sr. Civil Engineer to lead civil design, grading, drainage, and utility coordination for land development and infrastructure at the McGregor Rocket Development Facility and other SpaceX sites.

You will own tasks from concept through as-built, coordinate with contractors and internal teams, ensure compliance with permits, and support missions with a high-urgency, high-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 6+ years of professional civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil3D is preferred.
• Experience with land development, utilities, grading, and drainage projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue drawings, design docs, and reports for land development and utilities.
• Perform calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater, water quality, and distribution systems.
• Coordinate to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land development projects.
• Manage civil aspects of construction in the field, including quality control and coordination.
• Interact with contractors, owners, and internal clients to define requirements, schedule, and cost estimates.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in real time.
