Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking a Civil Engineer with land development and site civil design expertise to lead residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects in the Chicago area.

You will oversee site planning, grading, drainage, utility design, and construction documentation, working with developers, municipalities, and project teams. Hybrid/onsite opportunities are available, with support for licensure and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Current land development or site civil experience in a consulting/AEC setting preferred.
• Experience with site planning, grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, erosion control, and construction docs.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT pursuing PE considered.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for land development and site civil design preferred.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling platforms such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, ICPR or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and support land development and site civil projects including subdivisions, commercial, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use developments.
• Perform site planning, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, erosion control, and construction document preparation.
• Develop site layouts, grading plans, drainage, utility, erosion control plans and detailed civil construction drawings.
• Design water distribution, sanitary sewer, storm drainage and related site infrastructure.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, plans, specs, cost estimates, and permitting packages.
• Support feasibility studies, due diligence, preliminary engineering, and project coordination.
