Job summary

EXP is seeking an Engineer – Site Civil to join our Site Civil team with roles in Chicago, Miami, or Atlanta, offering hybrid arrangements. You will work on Site Civil/Land Development projects for Buildings, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical practices nationwide, collaborating on diverse projects across the United States.

The position requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 2+ years’ site development experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (OpenSite Designer a plus).

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a Civil Engineering or related role (site development experience preferred).
• EIT certification preferred and working towards PE.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with OpenSite Designer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares engineering analysis, designs, and calculations for site development projects under supervision.
• Designs grading and drainage elements for site improvements.
• Coordinates utility conflict resolutions and designs utility piping systems when required.
• Analyzes site plan layout with attention to pedestrian circulation and vehicle movements.
• Prepares erosion control documents including permitting and SWPPP submittals.
• Performs hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for piping systems.
• Coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams to finalize design details.
• Supports RFIs, site visits, submittals and revisions (some travel may be required).
• Collaborates with architects, engineers, land use attorneys, surveyors, and contractors.
