Job summary

Allan Myers, Inc. is seeking motivated students to support a crew, project or plant team on heavy civil construction projects in the Mid-Atlantic.

Typical assignments are 3–6 months and include on-the-job training led by a passionate team, exposure to large projects, and buddy assignment. You will participate in planning, scheduling and execution activities, coordinate subcontractors, and gain hands-on experience with project planning and daily reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mining & Materials Engineering, Business Management or related field.
• Must be a team player with a collaborative attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Support a crew, project or plant team in planning, scheduling and execution of heavy civil construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage the project schedule.
• Assist with project plans, contract management and daily reporting.
• Order materials and handle change orders as needed.
