Job summary

Houston Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in field and office design work. You will assist with plan specifications, estimates, and project documentation.

Responsibilities include AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings, updateredlines, surveying with GPS/Total Station, and using tools like MicroStation and ArcGIS. You will contribute to roadway design, drainage analysis, and erosion control during the internship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or related Engineering program.
• Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD are preferred.
• Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions.
• Above average math and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for overnight travel.
