Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Civil Engineer in Training to grow into leadership on transportation projects across state and local jurisdictions. The role emphasizes drawing and documents, client coordination, and budget/schedule management.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and have hands-on experience with Civil 3D, OpenRoads, and Geopak. A strong emphasis on quality, permitting, and cross-department collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Civil Engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in designing transportation facilities for State transportation departments & local jurisdictions.
• Experience with ITD’s procedures and requirements.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads, and Geopak design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies for permitting compliance.
• Prepare budgets and schedules for projects.
• Support clients with services during bidding, contracting, and construction.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and quality control.
