Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC in Idaho Falls is seeking a Civil Engineer in Training to join our growing team. You will prepare drawings, specs, and documents, coordinate with clients and agencies for permitting, and help manage budgets and schedules.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits including medical/dental, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) match. Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and are proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Civil Engineering experience preferred.
• Experience designing transportation facilities for state/local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies for permitting compliance.
• Prepare budgets and schedules for projects.
• Support clients during bidding, contracting, and construction.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets; provide technical guidance and quality control.

Your Responsibilities as a Civil Engineer in Training:

• Prepare Engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies for permitting compliance
• Prepare budgets and schedules for projects
• Support clients with services during bidding, contracting, and construction
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgetsProvide technical guidance and quality control

What we're looking for:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• Civil Engineering experience preferred
• Experience in designing transportation facilities for State transportation departments & local jurisdictions
• Experience with ITD's procedures and requirements
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation OpenRoads, and Geopak design software
