Job summary

NYC Department of Environmental Protection seeks a Civil Engineer 2 for the In-House Design (IHD) division in Lefrak Office, Queens. You will lead site-civil design, prepare plans, specs, and calculations for high-priority water and wastewater projects, review construction documents, and support construction through testing and commissioning.

Applicants should have 4+ years civil engineering experience, NY-PE license, and strong CAD/BIM skills.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time civil engineering experience; NY PE license required.
• Experience with site-civil design, BIM/CADD, and contract drawings.
• Ability to travel to job sites and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans, specifications, and related calculations for water/ wastewater facilities.
• Review shop drawings, material approvals, and RFIs during design/construction.
• Develop project schedules and oversee design teams as needed.
• Witness testing and assist in commissioning complex systems.
