Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Level II Civil Engineer to support site infrastructure design and construction under supervision of a licensed engineer. The role emphasizes FE graduate readiness and PE pursuit, with 2–5 years in civil engineering preferred.

Responsibilities include designing and reviewing construction documents, coordinating with project managers and architects, performing calculations, and using CAD tools. Field data collection and ongoing professional development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or ability to pass within a year.
• Ambition to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering (internship or co‑op experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design Support: Assist in the preparation and review of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met.
• Technical Tasks: Perform calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
• Field Support: Assist in site visits to gather data, monitor construction progress, and ensure compliance with design intent.
• Professional Development: Pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities to advance toward obtaining a PE license.
