Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Level II Civil Engineer to join our corporate functions, supporting the design and construction of new site infrastructure under licensed supervision. This role is ideal for passing FE and pursuing a PE license while contributing to projects across multiple Blue Origin locations.

The engineer will design support documents, assist in field data collection, collaborate with project teams, and use CAD tools to develop design documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or ability to pass within a year.
• Ambition to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• 2–5 years of relevant civil engineering experience (internship/co-op a plus).
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design Support: assist in preparation and review of construction documents (plans, specs, estimates).
• Contribute to design of site infrastructure (roads, drainage, utilities, retaining structures).
• Project Collaboration: work with project managers, architects, engineers to meet goals.
• Technical Tasks: perform calculations and analyses; use CAD software to create/modify documents.
• Field Support: assist in site visits, monitor progress, prepare field reports and provide recommendations.
• Professional Development: pursue continuing education toward PE license and stay updated on industry trends.
