Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Civil Engineer II to join our engineering team in Florida. You will design, develop, and implement civil infrastructure projects essential to our aerospace facilities, with a focus on safety and quality.

Office and field work will be required. You will plan, inspect, and supervise construction activities, prepare drawings using CAD, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on our milestones in a challenging spaceflight

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
5+ years of civil engineering experience.
Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
U.S. citizen/national or eligible immigrant status.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of site civil infrastructure and facilities.
Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data for civil projects.
Prepare detailed drawings, maps, and reports using CAD tools.
Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution.
Provide technical support during construction including RFIs.
Participate in project meetings and provide status updates.
Manage site design and permitting efforts including stormwater, wastewater, fire water, wetlands, and site logistics.
