Job summary

The City of Norfolk, Virginia, seeks a Civil Engineer II for the Transportation Department to oversee projects from design through construction, including public communication and coordination with state and federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Funding Applications: assists with funding applications and coordination with City/VDOT stakeholders.
• Project Development/Design Project Management: coordinate scoping, design, and documentation for LAP projects.
• Construction Management: oversee advertisement, award, and construction of LAP projects.
• Coordinate with utilities and City departments to evaluate infrastructure impacts and relocations.
• Assist other divisions with VDOT requirements and processes.
