Job summary

The City of Norfolk is seeking a Project Manager for the Transportation Department to coordinate and manage roadway and traffic projects from scoping through construction. This role collaborates with Civil Engineers, City staff, and external partners to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of related experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional credential.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scope, needs, and requirements for department projects.
• Oversee project scoping, design, budget, and schedules.
• Maintain project status in the City’s management software and websites.
• Administer construction contracts and contractor tasks.
• Communicate project impacts and progress to the public and agencies.
