Job description

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer II to join our Aerospace and Equipment team in Florida!

In this role, you will work with a team of highly skilled engineers and architects on rewarding projects supporting the Department of Defense and Aerospace clients. This position involves designing federal (Department of Defense) and Aerospace projects across the U.S. and beyond.

Essential Functions:

1. Perform civil site design tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including project research and analysis model development.
2. Conduct site investigations, field walks, data collection, and documentation.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address design challenges.
4. Support the development of contract deliverables with Design Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers.
5. Apply civil engineering design to grading, storm drain, sewer, water, paving, streets, utilities, water quality, and hydrology/hydraulics.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Permitting experience with SJRWMD and FDEP.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in teams.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ICPR 4.
