An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join their Engineering Department. This class involves professional engineering work within the Engineering Department, ensuring compliance with codes and requirements; coordinating capital improvement projects; and managing design and construction projects. It provides holistic services to the public by integrating programs or services from other departments, divisions, and agencies. The incumbent collaborates with colleagues, departments, agencies, and the public to deliver effective and innovative services.
Community Development will also be accepting applications for a Civil Engineer P.E., and preference may be given to that qualification.
Salary Range: $39.79 - $53.83/hour

Candidates must be able to perform all essential tasks of the position. The following are illustrative of these functions but not exhaustive:
Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: At least two years of responsible professional experience in design review, management, and construction of civil engineering projects, with substitution of experience for education possible but not vice versa. Candidates must meet the minimum experience requirements.
Necessary Special Requirements:
The work environment is typically quiet, with scheduled hours Monday through Friday, including some evenings and weekends. Work may be performed at city locations or remotely. Physical demands include sitting, walking, talking, hearing, standing, occasional handling of objects, and reaching. Travel to project sites is required.
