Job summary

The City of North Augusta is seeking a Civil Engineer I to perform professional engineering work in the design, management, and inspection of construction projects under limited supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing designs, conducting analyses, reviewing plans, administering contracts, and coordinating with engineers, developers, and public officials. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and an Engineer in Training certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares engineering designs, calculations and drawings for water, sewer, drainage, roads, parks.
• Performs in-depth engineering analyses and reviews plans and specs.
• Administers contracts for city construction projects.
• Coordinates with engineers, surveyors, developers, contractors and public officials.
• Maintains city maps and master plans; prepares technical reports and budget docs.
