Job summary

The City of Peoria is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Site Development Division within the Development and Engineering Department. You will review development projects and ensure compliance with standards, performing grading, drainage and utility plan reviews, and related reports.

Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders from planning to inspection, attending meetings, and communicating requirements clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three years’ professional engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer required upon hire; Arizona registration preferred.
• Valid Arizona driver's license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering reviews of development projects for code and design compliance.
• Prepare and review grading, drainage, water/sewer, paving, and drainage reports.
• Coordinate with developers, engineers, planners and city staff through planning to permitting.
• Attend meetings and clearly communicate engineering requirements.
