Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineer, Assistant Project Manager to join our Site Development team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role expands project management, client interaction, and technical leadership across commercial, industrial, institutional, energy, and renewable projects.

Our Pittsburgh office serves as CEC's headquarters with 440+ professionals. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff while contributing to diverse site

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
4-7+ years of civil engineering experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Storm Sewers, or similar civil engineering design software.
Experience with site development, land development, grading, stormwater management, and permitting.
Ability and desire to mentor junior staff.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with managing civil/site development projects from planning and design through permitting, bidding, and construction.
Prepare site development plans, including site layouts, grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, stormwater management facilities, and utility designs.
Develop permitting applications and support municipal zoning and land development approvals.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, municipalities, and regulatory agencies throughout project execution.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including geotechnical, environmental, ecological, and construction professionals.
Support project scheduling, budgeting, and client communication activities.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project team members.
Participate in industry organizations, client meetings, and business development activities
