Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineer, Assistant Project Manager to join our Site Development practice in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

You will expand your project management, technical leadership, and client interaction across a diverse mix of commercial, industrial, energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with experts across disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and progress toward leadership roles while delivering site development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Civil Land Development Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience supporting design, permitting, and construction phases.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Familiarity with project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of oil & gas and site development projects, including site layout, grading, utilities, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management
• Assist with managing civil engineering projects from concept through permitting and construction while helping maintain project scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
• Prepare and review engineering plans, technical reports, permitting documents, and supporting project documentation
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and local, state, and regulatory agencies throughout project execution
• Support project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, cost estimating, and proposal development efforts
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental, geotechnical, survey, water resources, and other technical professionals
• Support client relationships while assisting with project communication and delivery
• Participate in industry organizations, client meetings, and professional networking opportunities to support continued growth of the practice
