We are seeking a highly motivated Professional Engineer (PE) with 4+ years of land development experience to join our growing team in the Fort Lauderdale area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects throughout South Florida.
Lead and manage land development projects from concept through permitting and construction.
Prepare and oversee the design of:
Site layout and grading plans
Stormwater management systems
Utility infrastructure (water, sewer, drainage)
Roadway design and paving plans
Coordinate with local agencies including the City of Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, and the South Florida Water Management Districtfor permitting and approvals.
Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and construction documents.
Review plans for technical accuracy, quality, and compliance with local and state regulations.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and EITs.
Attend client meetings, public hearings, and agency coordination meetings as needed.
Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
Minimum 4+ years of land development experience in Florida.
Strong knowledge of local permitting processes in Broward County and surrounding municipalities.
Proficiency in:
Stormwater modeling software (e.g., ICPR, WaterCAD, etc.)
Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with FDOT and municipal design standards preferred.
Strong understanding of:
Site grading and drainage design
Utility design and coordination
Erosion and sediment control
Florida stormwater regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
