Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Fort Lauderdale, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This on-site role focuses on site development engineering, design, permitting, and project coordination for diverse projects.

You will work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology and drainage software, and support bid packages, cost estimates, and client communications, with on-the-job training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and hydrology/drainage analysis using relevant software.
• Contribute to land development site designs and bid packages; support client interactions and project finances.
