Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Phoenix, AZ office seeks a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years in a civil engineering design firm to join the Land Development team. Not a remote position.

You will perform site development engineering, design, permitting, and project management for diverse land development projects, with mentorship and growth opportunities in plan production, project financials, and client interactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or able to obtain within 12 months).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and initiative to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management for various projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use of hydrology and storm drainage software.
• Contribute to land development site designs and related deliverables.
• Support research, coordination, cost estimating, permitting, and bid package preparation.
• Receive mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
