Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Boca-Delray, Florida office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. This position is not remote.

The selected candidate will perform site development engineering and project management, complete site civil design, permitting, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology models, and storm drainage programs. Collaboration with staff and clients is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience at a civil engineering design firm.
• Bachelors or Masters in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and related software work.
• Work on land development site designs and coordination with staff.
• Assist with research, cost estimating, and client interactions.
• Mentorship and training in plan production and project financials.
