Job summary

Parkhill in Norman, OK is seeking an Engineer-in-Training to guide project development from concept through construction. You will help craft construction documents and coordinate with project stakeholders in a collaborative, salary-based role.

This entry-level position offers growth through specialized training and exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS. A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and an EIT are preferred, with teamwork and communication skills key to success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with city staff and agencies for project data collection.

  • Assist in developing construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with team on design specs and timelines.
  • Perform field observations as needed under supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Contact city staff and agencies for project coordination and data collection.
  • Support basic design and calculations to support site grading, drainage analysis, water and sanitary sewer utilities and paving improvements.
  • Assist in the development of construction plans, specifications, and Opinions of Probable Costs.
  • Collaborate with team members on design specifications and timelines.
  • Perform field observation work when necessary, under minimal supervision.
  • Develop relationships with clients, staff, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • EIT obtained.
  • At least 0-2 years of experience in site development.
  • Experience with software including AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment with non-Engineer decision makers and be able to communicate plans.
