Job summary

WSP is hiring a Civil Designer to join our Site Civil Engineering Business Line in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role supports the Power Delivery team on challenging projects and offers mentorship from senior staff to grow technical skills.

You will work with multiple design teams, prepare Civil 3D drawings, check work, and ensure on-time delivery. Requirements include a High School Diploma and 7 years of drafting/design support experience; AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation proficiency; strong English

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant post-education experience in drafting and design support.
• Knowledge of drafting and design support principles, practices, process, methods and techniques.
• Understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D sheet set production, topographic models and grading modeling.
• Willing and able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy.

Through hands-on project experience, departmental training initiatives, and mentorship from senior staff and engineers, you’ll continually expand your technical knowledge and skills.

Your Impact

Who You are

• Knowledge of drafting and design support principles, practices, process, methods and techniques.
• Understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D sheet set production, topographic models and grading modeling
• Willing and able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy
• Willingness to coordinate with other team members to meet project needs
• Must be flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needs
• The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skillsin order towork effectively with other team members

Desired Education/Experience

• Associate’s degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
• Advanced understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D Site/Land Development experience, grading, drainage, stormwater management design modeling
• Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems is a plus
