Job summary

TYG is seeking Civil Engineers at various levels for the Dallas–Fort Worth market, focusing on land development and site design across residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

You will design and coordinate projects from concept to construction, prepare layouts and drainage plans, perform stormwater calculations, and work closely with clients and municipal teams to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in land development or civil/site design.
• Proficiency with grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate land development projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and construction documents.
• Perform stormwater calculations and assist with drainage and utility design.
• Prepare plans, specifications, reports, and permit submittals.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, surveyors, architects, and subconsultants.
• Attend project and municipal meetings and assist with permitting and approvals.
• Work with Project Managers and senior engineers to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
• Take on increasing responsibility for project coordination and client interaction.

Background:

Our client, a growing civil engineering consulting firm with a strong reputation in land development, is seeking Civil Engineers at various levels to support continued growth across the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

This is an opportunity for engineers with experience in land development, site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater who are looking to take on increasing project responsibility within a collaborative, design-focused environment. The role offers exposure to a range of private development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate land development projects from concept through construction
• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and construction documents
• Perform stormwater calculations and assist with drainage and utility design
• Prepare plans, specifications, reports, and permit submittals
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, surveyors, architects, and subconsultants
• Attend project and municipal meetings and assist with the permitting and approval process
• Work closely with Project Managers and senior engineers to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
• Take on increasing responsibility for project coordination and client interaction as experience develops

Qualifications

• EIT preferred; PE preferred for senior-level roles or ability to obtain
