Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in roads and infrastructure for a leading engineering consultancy. Based in Upington, Northern Cape, you will lead design, planning and delivery of major transportation projects, directing design teams and ensuring technical excellence.

You will manage complex multi-disciplinary projects, apply SA standards (SANS) and South African practice, and foster strong client relationships while contributing to business growth and innovation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with ECSA advantageous.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with focus on roads/infrastructure.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of road networks, intersections, highways, and related infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies, traffic analyses and impact assessments for new projects.
• Manage all phases of civil engineering projects from conceptualization through to construction supervision.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Oversee junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
