Job summary

Bohler’s Bethlehem, PA office is seeking a Design Engineer to support land development projects across Lehigh Valley. You’ll assist with the design of commercial, residential, and industrial sites, working alongside senior engineers to bring development visions to life.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of civil site design and permitting, with opportunities for mentorship, growth, and a collaborative culture that emphasizes learning and delivering quality design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of site design experience across residential and/or commercial or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic engineering design principles.
• Attention to detail and curiosity to learn new tools and methods.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plans.
• Conduct research, prepare reports, and support due diligence investigations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver coordinated design packages.
• Perform design calculations and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies.
• Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to help solve engineering challenges.
