Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates seeks a Civil Design Engineer for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. You will develop detailed design packages, support procurement, and offer field technical assistance to implement designs.

You will work within an integrated project team or provide technical leadership for a multi-discipline task, performing plant walkdowns and producing design documents as required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 5–20+ years of civil design experience.
• Ability to interface with clients, production and management.
• Familiarity with consensus design codes.
• CAD drafting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality detailed design packages for civil projects.
• Provide engineering procurement and field technical support.
• Lead or contribute to multi-discipline project teams.
• Perform walk downs and generate design documents on site.
• Oversee storm drainage, road design, soil evaluation, and external firms.
