Job summary

You will supervise contractor activities, review reports, and manage change orders while coordinating with clients and agency staff to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

The role demands strong communication, plan-reading proficiency, and project leadership, with a focus on safety and timely issue resolution across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of experience on public capital projects as a consultant, owner/agency, or equivalent.
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related training.
• Strong documentation, plan reading, and contract administration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily observation of contractor activities and reviews Inspectors Daily Reports.
• Reviews verification of materials and tracks quantities.
• Prepares and negotiates Work Change Directives and Change Orders.
• Reviews and approves monthly contractor progress payments.
• Monitors contractor progress against schedule and budget.
• Provides technical leadership for complex assignments.
• Mentors inspection staff and supports constructability reviews.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local policies.
