Job summary

Bring a High School degree and the ability to perform volumetric math and surveying, with strong communication and field-testing capabilities. This role requires field work up to 10 hours daily and a valid US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High School degree and relevant work experience required.
• Ability to perform mathematics sufficient for volumetric calculation and basic surveying.
• Understanding of construction methods, standards, equipment, and safety.
• Strong written and oral communication with clients, contractors, and management.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• This position requires authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform data entry; able to walk/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily observation of contractor activities and completes Inspectors Daily Reports.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local agency construction administration policies.
• Fosters a safety culture on the project site.
• Inspects, monitors, and oversees construction field work to confirm plans and specs.
• Performs on-site material testing and tracks quantities for pay estimates.
• Initiates field changes to drawings and resolves document discrepancies.
• Reviews daily contractor reports for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Collaborates with engineers and external partners to resolve construction issues.
