RK&K is seeking a Resident Engineer with a P.E. to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection team in Washington, DC. This role involves managing construction projects and mentoring construction inspection teams while ensuring compliance with contracts.

The ideal candidate has ten years of experience managing heavy civil infrastructure projects, with expertise in roadway, utilities, and structures. They will interact with various stakeholders and manage project schedules and quality control.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience managing heavy civil infrastructure construction.
• Construction management experience in roadway, utilities, and structures.
• Ability to read & interpret roadway plans & specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage, build and develop construction inspection teams.
• Manage assigned elements of projects as an owner's representative.
• Serve as a communication liaison between field staff, contractor, and agencies.

Skills

Heavy civil infrastructure construction management

Roadway, utilities, and structures construction management

Interpretation of roadway plans & specifications

Understanding of contractor means & methods

Understanding QA/QC processes

Experience with RFI and Submittal Processes

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
