Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to perform land clearing, excavation, and river/roadway preparation on industrial and wind projects. The role requires operating various machines such as loaders, graders, excavators, dozers, and tracors while following safety regulations.

Expect long shifts (up to 50 hours/week), travel to different project sites, and adherence to toolbox and safety meetings. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and participate in toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Operates heavy equipment and understands equipment functions, operation, and basic troubleshooting.
• May level land, excavate, and move earth using various heavy equipment.
• Coordinate machine actions with other crew activities and signals.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and oiling machines.
