Job summary

DN is seeking a Construction Management Intern to join our team in Littleton, CO. You will work with our Construction and Operations teams to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and heavy-civil construction projects, under a dedicated mentor, from conception to completion.

You will develop AutoCAD site layouts, coordinate with subcontractors, perform pre-pour inspections, and visit job sites to observe precast panel erection, gaining valuable skills for your future career in the heavy

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program with Civil Engineering preferred.
• Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to problem-solve in individual and team settings.

Responsibilities

• Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing for concrete/shotcrete mixes.
• Coordinate with concrete suppliers and assist Project Engineers with submittals.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing cut/fill slopes, ramps, work roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers prior to concrete placements.
• Visit local construction sites during precast panel erection.
