Job summary

DN Tanks LLC in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Construction Management Intern to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and heavy-civil projects from conception to completion.

As a student in an Engineering or Construction Management program, you will work with a mentor, develop AutoCAD site layouts, and support project engineers with submittals and coordination with subcontractors. Office relocation possible.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program. A concentration in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Experience working with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to problem-solve in individual and team settings.
• Ability to work or relocate to our office in Grand Prairie or project location.

Responsibilities

• Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing for concrete/shotcrete mixes.
• Work with concrete suppliers to develop and trial batch concrete/shotcrete mix designs. Assist Project Engineers with the preparation of detailed project submittals.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing cut/fill slopes, ramps, work roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers prior to concrete placements.
• Opportunity to visit construction sites during precast panel erection.
