Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking an Intern to support project sites in Utah with project management, document control, and collaboration with safety personnel and field operations. You will gain hands-on experience and build professional contacts in the industry.

This internship offers exposure to civil and heavy/civil projects, with opportunities to learn site operations, safety, and documentation processes alongside experienced teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• Current college junior or senior status.
• Experience on civil construction sites is desired.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Positive attitude and self-motivation; able to work under schedule restraints.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support highway heavy/civil construction site, project management or estimating.
• Assist with document control, submittals, monthly billing.
• Assist with field operations, safety or environment requirements.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
