Job summary

Ames Construction, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking motivated interns to support our heavy civil construction team. You will gain hands-on experience working with project managers, field crews, and design partners on large-scale projects, including safety monitoring and subcontractor coordination.

This internship is based in the Western Area office, with travel to intermountain projects in Utah, Reno, NV and Las Vegas, NV. It requires 100% in-person work on construction sites and office tasks.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Desire to grow and develop a career and mentor other coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and project teams on site and in planning.
• Support a team of construction professionals with day-to-day tasks.
• Build relationships and communicate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and field crews.
• Review and draft technical submittals such as schedules, shop drawings, and work plans.
