Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking an Intern to assist on project sites in Farmington, New Mexico, supporting project management, document control, and collaboration with safety personnel and field operations.

You will gain hands-on experience and build professional contacts while contributing to project execution under supervision. The role requires pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, junior or senior status, and basic software familiarity.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
• Current college junior or senior status
• Experience on civil or construction sites is desirable
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Outlook
• Strong organizational, written, verbal and time management skills
• Good attention to detail and ability to work under schedule constraints
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Support highway heavy/civil construction site, project management or estimating
• Assist with document control, submittals, monthly billing
• Assist with field operations, safety or environment requirements
• Other responsibilities as assigned
