Civil Construction Estimator

Infrastructure Solutions, LLC. is currently looking for a Civil Construction Estimator to support its growth. This position collaborates with employees across sister companies to manage construction projects. The ideal candidate will have construction experience, a partnership approach, and project management skills.

Location:

Lenexa, HQ

Responsibilities:

1. Be a team player on construction projects – working with architects, engineers, field staff, owners, subs, etc.
2. Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite construction work
3. Estimate projects – quantity takeoff, subcontractor pricing assistance
4. Develop and manage schedules
5. Handle project bidding and buyout
6. Manage project budgets
7. Coordinate and oversee field supervision and subcontractors
8. Review project estimates with operations team to ensure considerations are included
9. Interact with clients and design team to resolve issues and expedite work
10. Assist with safety on job sites
11. Estimate both concept and complete designs
12. Support design team with budgetary pricing during design development
13. Develop and update estimating database with assemblies
14. Maintain a cost history database
15. Review estimates to ensure infrastructure and equipment are included
16. Evaluate conceptual and detailed estimates with clients and design team
17. Assist with project budget setup after award
18. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

1. Degree in construction management or similar; or equivalent experience
2. Minimum 4 years in civil, industrial, or utility construction
3. Construction experience preferred but not mandatory
4. Knowledge of construction safety standards
5. Partnership approach with architects and engineers
6. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
7. Understanding of bidding software
8. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
9. Team player mindset
10. Valid driver’s license, pass physical and drug screening
11. Self-motivated with good time management skills
