Infrastructure Solutions, LLC. is currently looking for a Civil Construction Estimator to support its growth. This position works with a variety of employees in its sister companies using resources to manage construction projects. The ideal candidate will have construction experience, a partnership approach and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Be a team player on construction projects – working with architects, engineers, field staff, owners, subs, etc.
- Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite construction work
- Estimating of projects – quantity takeoff, subcontractor pricing assistance
- Schedule development and management
- Project bidding and buyout
- Project Budget Management
- Coordination and management of field supervision, as well as subcontractors on construction projects
- Review project estimates with operations team (field and office) to ensure logistical and site considerations are included
- Interacting with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite the work
- Safety assistance while on job sites
- Estimate both concept designs and complete designs
- Assist design team with budgetary pricing at various stages in design development
- Assist with the development, updating, and implementation of an estimating database with assemblies
- Maintain a cost history data base
- Review estimates with design team to ensure equipment infrastructure is included
- Review estimates with operations team (field and office) to ensure logistical and site considerations are included
- Interact with clients and design team as needed to evaluate conceptual and detailed estimates
- Assist with project budget set up once projects are awarded
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in construction management or similar discipline or equivalent experience
- At least 4 years of experience in civil, industrial and/or utility construction
- Hands on construction experience is desired but not required
- Knowledge of construction safety requirements
- Partnership approach to working with architects and engineers
- MS Office Suite knowledge and excellent computer skills
- Proficient in MS Project
- Be able to understand and help implement bidding software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a physical and drug screening
- Self-motivation and time management skills
