Job summary

The City of Bothell is seeking its next Associate Engineer to support planning, delivery, and oversight of civil engineering and public works projects. The role includes field inspections, maintaining project documentation, applying engineering standards and regulations, and collaborating to resolve project, operational, and contractual issues.

The first six to twelve months are fully onsite, after which eligibility for a hybrid work schedule may be considered.

Qualifications

• Maintain accurate project records and documentation in accordance with established records management practices.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve operational, procedural, and contractual issues that arise during project delivery.
• Apply applicable federal and state codes, regulations, AASHTO standards, and WSDOT standards, protocols, specifications, and guidelines to civil engineering and public works projects.
• Conduct field inspections of public works construction projects to monitor progress, verify compliance with plans and specifications, and identify potential issues or deficiencies.
