Job summary

City of Bellevue seeks a Civil/Construction Engineer to renew critical water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. You will manage contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders while coordinating with inspectors, project managers, consultants, and city staff.

The role emphasizes documentation, standards updates, and environmental compliance. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Civil/Construction fields with 2+ years’ experience; EIT/PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Two or more years of related professional experience in engineering or construction.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construction management and contract administration, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Field and stakeholder collaboration with contractors, inspectors, and city staff.
• Prepare notices and maintain project documentation on SharePoint and contract records.
• Review plans for compliance and pursue improvements to standards and procedures.
