Job summary

Port of Everett is seeking a Project Engineer to assist with construction and infrastructure projects from planning through closeout. You will support schedule, cost estimates, budgeting, scope development, design reviews, field condition assessments, and coordination with contractors and consultants.

The role includes regular onsite support, site inspections, and ensuring adherence to plans and specifications. Growth in responsibility is expected as performance and experience progress.

Qualifications

  • Professional civil engineering experience and licensure.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of public works codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day construction activities and monitor schedule and budget.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Review plans, specs, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Attend permit reviews and public hearings to support senior staff.
  • Maintain project records, logs, and cost reports.
  • Support environmental, safety, and building compliance efforts.
