Job summary

City of Bellevue is seeking a Construction Management professional to help renew water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. The role supports the Capital Investment Plan and works with inspectors, engineers, project managers, and staff.

Responsibilities include interpreting plans, managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, coordinating meetings with contractors and agencies, and maintaining project documents in Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Two or more years of related professional experience in engineering or construction.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Prior design or inspection experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications, assess proposed deviations, and quantify schedule and budget impacts.
• Manage contract submittals, RFIs, and change orders, coordinating responses and tracking timelines.
• Support analysis of change orders and claims with the Construction Manager, Inspection Supervisor, and legal advisors.
• Facilitate resolutions when site conditions differ from plans and coordinate meetings among contractors and City stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve citizen concerns and prepare required environmental reports.
• Set up projects in Autodesk Build and maintain Risk Register, RFI, Change Order, and Issues logs.
