Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks an experienced Designer (Civil 3D) to support civil, environmental, and geotechnical projects across multiple NC/TN offices, including Knoxville. You will create grading plans, Plan & Profile, sections, and details for infrastructure and remediation projects.

The role emphasizes AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, Revit familiarity, and the ability to work with survey data, earthworks, and cross-sections.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Drafting or equivalent education/experience.
5+ years in professional civil engineering drafting/CADD environment.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and Revit; experience with landfills and geotechnical projects preferred.
Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and redlines.
Strong MS Office skills and basic project coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details per company standards.
Visualize civil/geotechnical concepts and translate into design drawings.
Analyze input material to determine best approach for grading or modeling tasks.
Manage drawing sets from creation to modification and delivery.
Collaborate with CADD team to ensure quality and consistency.
Support CAD standards improvements through the CAD Action Group.
