Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks an experienced Designer (Civil 3D) to join our team in multiple NC/SC office locations. The role focuses on CADD for environmental, civil and geotechnical projects, including grading plans, sections, and earthwork for landfills and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting or equivalent with 5+ years in civil engineering drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (latest release) required.
• Experience with Revit preferred.
• Experience with Civil 3D and Revit interoperability preferred.
• Experience developing grading plans, alignments, profiles and earthwork volumes.
• Ability to read red-line drawings and translate into design drawings.
• Experience gathering survey data and land mapping files.
• Strong math, geometry, and problem solving skills.
• MS Office familiarity (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Civil/Environmental landfill, roadway and stormwater exposure preferred.
• Civil 3D certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details per Geosyntec standards.
• Visualize civil/geotechnical concepts and translate into drawings.
• Analyze input material to determine best approach for grading/modeling tasks.
• Manage drawing set production from creation to modification.
• Collaborate with other CADD staff to prepare drawings and ensure quality.
• Support CAD standards and workflows within the CAD Action Group.
