Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking an experienced Designer (Civil 3D) to join our team across multiple NC/SC/TN offices including Johnson City, TN. You will perform CADD work for environmental, civil and geotechnical projects, developing grading plans, plan & profile, sections, and details for infrastructure and remediation efforts.

The role requires AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency and prefer Revit experience; a strong background in surveying data, earthworks, and large civil design is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Drafting and a minimum of five years related experience in a professional civil engineering setting.
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit (preferred).
• Experience with landfills and large civil design projects.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret red line drawings.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details using Geosyntec standards.
• Visualize civil/geotechnical concepts and translate to drawings.
• Analyze sketches and input to determine best approach for grading/modeling tasks.
• Manage the production of drawing sets from creation to modification.
• Collaborate with CAD practitioners to prepare drawings and review work products.
• Support CAD standards and workflows across the company.
