Job summary

The City of Birmingham is seeking an Event Setup Assistant for the CrossPlex. You will prepare venues for weddings, banquets, conventions, and other events by interpreting setup sheets and arranging tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.

You will communicate with vendors and clients to ensure room configurations meet needs and fire-code requirements. Responsibilities include moving gear with carts or forklifts, setting up AV and lighting, and disassembling setups after events while ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience setting up tables, chairs, and linens for events by following diagrams and instructions.
• Experience in customer service is required.
