Job summary

The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) is seeking a part-time Setup Technician to assist with event setup, equipment maintenance and related tasks across BJCC venues in Birmingham. You will set up chairs, tables, flooring and other event items, move equipment, and help with minor repairs while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Qualified applicants have at least one year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to follow instructions and work

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year related knowledge and skills in a similar position.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid State of Alabama Driver License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up chairs, tables, flooring and event equipment as directed for events.
• Clean and organize storage and tool rooms; transport equipment as needed.
• Load/unload trucks and assist with event setup and repair tasks.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate with teams.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance and tasks performed.
